Anderson - Charles William Mattox, 78, Anderson, passed away March 8, 2010 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana.

He was born January 31, 1932 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson all of his life.

Charles served his country in the US Army in Austria.

He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 38 1/2 years of service.

He attended Parkview Church of the Nazarene and the UAW Local #662.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sallie (Wicker) Mattox; children, Chuck Mattox (Kelly), Christopher Mattox (Eileen), Tammy Wise (Steve) and Cliff Mattox (Julie); grandchildren, Kristin Hamilton, Ryan Mattox, Michael Mattox, Ashley England, Morgan Mattox, Christopher Mattox, Charlie Mattox, Spencer Wise and Jessica Mattox; two great grandchildren, Alora & Kayla; several nieces & nephews and special friends, Bob Harmon, Doug Lawson and Larry Bright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel & Hazel (Gallman) Mattox and nine siblings.

Visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM on Friday, March 12, 2010 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.

Services will be Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home, south chapel, with Pastor Jeff Floyd officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Church of the Nazarene; 911 S. Rangeline Road; Anderson, IN 46012.
